Female student wearing the Chain of Office as Mayor for the Day winnerTaking the oath of office as winner of the City of Oshawa’s Mayor of the Day contest was exciting for Mika, a Grade 6 student at St. Hedwig Catholic School. On December 10, 2019, Mika met with Mayor Carter and together they completed a full day’s agenda, with guided tours of the Oshawa Airport, Fire Hall, City Hall and Animal Services.
